ADOPT A BIRD SCHEME
The running of the Centre is a costly business and you may be surprised that we do not receive grants from outside
agencies or Goverment Aid,
Visitors often ask how they can help in our work - an obvious answer is to be aware of the Centre's mission of
publicising the plight of many Birds of Prey in the wild, allowing the general public (particularly children) close access
to the birds in order that they will learn to appreciate the need for the species to be protected in their natural habitat
for future generations. Many people wish to contribute more and for this reason we have devised our adoption
scheme. All proceeds received from adoptions go directly towards the upkeep of the birds - not only the birds
you see on display but injured wild birds which are handed into the Centre for rehabilitation and release back
into the wild.
Please understand that the adoption fee will be used towards food, accommodation and veterinary costs for
birds at the Centre. The bird you adopt will at all times remain under the care and ownership of the Centre.
In return for your adoption fee you will receive a certificate showing the name of your adopted bird. A plaque with the name(s) of the adopter will be placed in a suitable prominent position within the Centre.
